Karambit | Doppler
Phases 1 to 4 plus Ruby, Sapphire and Black Pearl are separate seeds of this Extraordinary knife finish, whose float stays between 0.00 and 0.08.
Wear ranges up to 0.08
A copy keeps its float for good, and handling it in matches changes nothing. Wear names label stretches of that number, and a Doppler carries only the stretches its limits reach. The table gives the overlap for every stretch.
| Wear | Overlap | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New | 0.00 – 0.07 | Listed wear |
| Minimal Wear | 0.07 – 0.08 | Narrow slice |
You are buying a phase, not a wear
Chroma-era Doppler knives date from 2015, with the Karambit as the shape that shoppers look up first. Since floats stay inside 0.00 to 0.08, Factory New is the common wear, and Minimal Wear covers only the last 0.01. Wear rarely explains a price gap between two Dopplers.
Which phase a knife shows depends on its pattern seed. Collectors rank Phase 2 and Sapphire at the top end of ordinary taste. Ruby is the pure red, and Black Pearl is the dark rarity. A different finish, Gamma Doppler, has Emerald as its full-color special, not Ruby or Sapphire, and the pattern guide lists that split. Check the seed on the trade offer before you pay a phase price.
In short, two Dopplers at the same wear can differ in price, so compare phase against phase.
