AK-47 | Case Hardened
The paint is common and the rarity is Classified. What is scarce is a strong blue seed, and the finish dates from the first weapon case.
Wear ranges for Case Hardened
Float is assigned when a skin is created and no amount of play changes it. Factory New, Minimal Wear and the other names simply label slices of that number. The finish is sold only in the slices its float range reaches, as the table spells out.
| Wear | Overlap | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Factory New | 0.00 – 0.07 | Listed wear |
| Minimal Wear | 0.07 – 0.15 | Listed wear |
| Field-Tested | 0.15 – 0.38 | Listed wear |
| Well-Worn | 0.38 – 0.45 | Listed wear |
| Battle-Scarred | 0.45 – 1.00 | Listed wear |
The pattern seed outranks the wear name
Every wear exists, and the skin has been in the game since 14 August 2013. Price follows the seed more than the label. That is how a Battle-Scarred blue gem can cost more than a Factory New copy showing a muddy gold pattern. Collectors add another split: playside and backside are priced separately, so an index famous for the rifle's back is not the same purchase as a playside gem.
Fans write the tier lists, and the lists change. Ask for an inspect link that reveals the seed before you pay. A blue highlight in a thumbnail proves nothing about rank, and the pattern guide explains how to judge it.
